Phoenix Kyaw

Instructor

Phoenix's journey with Arakan began at the age of two, guided by his father, Chief Instructor Robert Kyaw. With over 16 years of consistent training, Arakan has taught Phoenix invaluable skills beyond self-defence, such as respect, discipline, and motivation.?Aside from developing awareness, de-escalation skills, and combat proficiency, Arakan has taught Phoenix foundational life principles, which he now carries with him every day. Despite outstanding academic achievements and numerous high-level universities offers, Phoenix chose to pursue his true passion of teaching Arakan after graduating from high school in 2023.

Phoenix spends his free time participating in physical activities, drawing on his experience as an elite swimmer and runner to enjoy extreme sports such as mountain biking. He is committed to self-improvement and spends time in the gym and outdoors, honing his physical and mental abilities. With a 12-year journey in playing guitar, Phoenix values consistency and resilience, understanding the importance of perseverance in mastering any skill.

Phoenix is honoured to be Arakan's youngest instructor ever. Phoenix displays positivity and enthusiasm in his role as a teacher, sharing his passion for Arakan Martial Art. In his lessons, he creates a supportive environment that encourages students to learn quickly and practically while also forming meaningful friendships. Phoenix is dedicated to making a difference and believes in empowering people, especially during difficult times. His family's support has helped shape him into the best version of himself, and he hopes to honour his Burmese heritage by passing down his profound knowledge through generations.

"Thank you so much for the wonderful Arakan activity on Asia Day. Your boys/young men are so wonderful with the kids.

It is amazing how many of the girls love the activity! Nearly all of them said that it was not long enough!

Thank you again. We really appreciate it!"
