Benett started Arakan in 2019 when he was feeling a little lost in life. He attributes Arakan for changing his life and providing him with a path and purpose. Arakan has enabled Benett to have a definite purpose in life and everything he does.

Benett has developed discipline, focus and purpose through Arakan and has received numerous rewards from his training, He believes the challenge is the reward. Benett loves all aspects of his training and as one of the most physical guys in the team, he enjoys pushing himself past his perceived limits and as he says ‘reap the rewards’.

He trained in boxing and other martial arts before discovering Arakan and not only loves the physical aspects of his training, the diversity, effectiveness and explosiveness that Arakan offers, he enjoys the personal development and how much it has transformed his life.

Benett also studied Physiology in University and brings this wealth of knowledge of the body, mechanics and the human system into his training and shares openly with his students.

Benett began teaching to help inspire and help other young men. He is open and extremely capable of teaching people of all walks of life and helping them get the most from their training and life, whatever your goals or ambitions are in life.

Benett’s other passion outside of Arakan is all things cars, motor sports, motorbikes, sport and music. He is also enjoying his self development journey and is open to sharing with others.

When I first started Arakan I was still suffering from a serious illness, but Benett worked with that. Always pushing me beyond where I felt comfortable, Benett has helped me gain strength again in so many ways. His care and passion for his students and our Arakan journey is present in every lesson. Benett is an inspiring Instructor and I look forward to our lessons every week.

My name is Kyle and I love training in Arakan because it has many benefits for my mental and physical health. I have a condition called ASD which is Autism Spectrum Disorder /Asperger’s Syndrome, ADHD, and Anxiety. I am on a couple of different medications and I have been through hardships with my mental health, plenty of meltdowns and I had a physical accident coming off my mountain bike and fracturing my jaw each side.
The reason why I started Martial Arts is because I got bored of just going to the gym and just lifting weights. I also needed something that I can learn to protect myself, boost my confidence, and have a higher purpose.
What Arakan does is make me less socially awkward, more flexible, more fit, athletic, present in the moment and also how to defend myself. I train 3 x times a week;  two private lessons and one group lesson.
I have also attended seminars with Master Robert Kyaw which has been amazing. I get to meet a lot of people from the Arakan Team and they are all amazing. My instructors are Bennett Stone and Jamie Thorne.
I would like to thank the whole Arakan team for all your support, motivation and good energy.

Hi. I am writing this testimonial to recommend both the Arakan martial arts school of self defence and my current trainer Benett Stone. I am a 50 something year old bloke that isn't particularly fit or athletic - but the last 3 years of training have been very rewarding in many ways. My first two trainers were fantastic and taught me all the basics. Benett, however, has taken me to a much improved level and I feel much more confident in a self defence situation now than I have ever felt in my life ! The organisation is also very professional and I have no hesitation in recommending Benett and the Gold Coast Arakan school to anyone (male/ female / young or old) who has ever even thought about trying a lesson to see what it is like.

Hi, I am writing this testimonial to highly recommend Arakan martial art to any one young or old with any level of fitness, confidence or even disability. Training Arakan with my instructor Benett stone is something I personally look forward to, every week. Not only do I feel confident in my ability to use Arakan if need be, I feel it's a tool I have in my arsenal to use in the right scenario. Practicing Arakan has shown me there are loads of benefits to training consistently, as I find I'm more focussed and physically capable. Benett constantly asks me questions about myself and what direction I want to go in with life pushing me to hit and set goals, not just being my Arakan instructor but also a good mate and life coach. Ultimately giving me a more positive outlook on my day and life! If anyone is interested call up now!

Benett has been teaching our  5 year old son Rafael for almost 2 years. He has an amazing talent with a great mix of patience and understanding. Rafael looks forward to his lesson every week and they now have a special bond together. Rafael has already developed an incredible improvement with his discipline and confidence. I would recommend Benett as an instructor for any young kids that have an interest in martial arts.

I started Arakan with Benett around 5 months ago, and the amount of knowledge that I have gained throughout the short time training with him is incredible. Training with Benett has given me confidence, strength, mental toughness and most importantly patience. Those are the exact reasons as to why I wanted to start my journey. Not only have I been taught the basics of Arakan, he has also helped me gain an understanding of real world hurdles like time management, and saving money. Benett has made the start of my Arakan. experience very exciting, and can’t wait to continue for many more years to come.

It is with great pleasure to write this recommendation for you as my Arakan instructor. What I love about Benett is his persistence and expertise which keeps me focused and committed to our weekly training schedule. Benett is extremely reliable & punctual – and always has a variety of sessions planned each week. Benett is very thorough and ensures that my technique is always correct so I can avoid any injuries.
I thoroughly enjoy working out in the outdoor environment, and would recommend Benett and Arakan to anyone looking to learn self defence, but also anyone who is interested in joining a community who set out to help all people become physically, mentally, emotionally & spiritually stronger in their lives.

I've been privileged to train with Benett Stone since I moved up to the Sunshine Coast two years ago. I really enjoy Benett's intensity and teaching style, as well as his appreciation of body mechanics and injuries (particularly now I'm well into my 40s with a body that doesn't hold up as well as it did previously!). He's a fantastic guy who personifies the Arakan culture and is doing an exceptional job building Arakan's brand and presence on the Sunshine Coast.

Since beginning Arakan martial art with my son Preston in mid 2020. We never realised that this would be such an incredible journey. Our instructor Benett stone has now become a close friend and we have developed an awesome partnership, being much more than just an instructor to us. The arakan instructors always turn up for us no matter what and push us to do the same no matter what life throws our way!
We now realise that we have been blessed to have two awesome instructors one of those being Benett. Benett is undoubtedly a solid reliable human being, but also an inspiring young man. It is a real gift to have my now 16 year old son learning and looking up to these amazing people. We recommend training with Benett or any of the arakan instructors no matter what age or condition you are in.

Benett has been an amazing instructor for me since I started in 2021. He has helped improve my strength making me a lot stronger. He has taught me several techniques I thought I could never perform, but his teaching has allowed me to not only pick it up but actually been so effective that I’ve personally had to use is it, and it worked incredibly well! This journey has made me more confident inside and out. Benett is easy to talk too and is very patient and understanding. His ability in his teaching to be able to fix up minor details and break things down is astounding to me, because it always helps to improve my overall technique significantly. I love training and would recommend this art to anybody.
